How does Sex-Lethal regulate translational of msl-2 mRNA?
Together with Jan I am examining the mechanism by which sex-lethal (SXL) regulates translation of msl-2 mRNA via the 5’ UTR regulatory sequences. We investigate whether SXL acts as a road block to scanning ribosomal subunits or whether it specifically targets the translational machinery RNA.
