We are a basic cell biology research laboratory currently located at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory in Heidelberg, Germany, since 1993. Our research focuses on understanding the molecular machinery underlying cell division and more particularly, spindle organization, chromosome segregation and cytokinesis. We make use of a range of genetic, biochemical, cell and molecular approaches in three main model systems: the budding yeast S.cerevisiae, the African clawed toad, Xenopus laevis, and the free-living nematode, Caenorhabditis elegans. We have designed this web site to facilitate communication with other labs and all interested individuals. Please feel free to contact us for further information which may not be included in these pages (by email, telephone or fax at above numbers). Cheers!
