Building Maintenance
As our departmental name suggests, we deal with all sorts of problems ranging from the dripping tap or the malfunctioning plug to a complete redesigning and construction of a building.
We maintain the entire campus in Heidelberg including planning and offering advice and furthermore are involved in various building and renovation projects with the EMBL outstations.
Apart from the buildings themselves, we are also responsible for all service areas including gas, water, plumbing, electricity, cooling, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, telecommunication as well as measurement and control technology.
Furthermore, we are in charge of the waste disposal centre and are also responsible for the caretaker duties. A further field of activity concerns the building fire protection as well as the technical building and common safety.
