Finance
The Finance Section is responsible for controlling and reporting on EMBL's finances, as well as making and receiving payments on behalf of the Headquarter's Laboratory and Outstations.
It prepares the Laboratory's budget, seeks funding from Council by means of papers submitted to Council, receives payments from Member States, and prepares the annual statement of accounts for Council.
In addition, the Finance Section receives funding and prepares the necessary accounts for grants received from external bodies.
The Finance Section is divided into three sub-sections, which share the work according to activity.
