Enter a search term in the search box at the top of the page, and press the "search" button.
The system searches the fields: First name, surname, research interests, current institute, city, country and nationality. The number of results are displayed directly under the search box, and the term queried is highlighted in the text.
Under the Search box at the top of the page, you will see the number of search results found for any one search.
You can filter a search by using the left-hand menu. Filters can only be applied AFTER you have begun a search. To cancel one or more filters, simply close the relevant filter from the "Filters" box at the top of the search list. The Filters box only appears after you have selected a filter from the left-hand menu.

As an undergraduate at Anna University, I worked with Dr. Gautam Pennathur on molecular dynamics simulations of peptide folding and protein dynamics. During this time, I was also introduced to research in computational genomics.
Taking my newly-developed interest in computational genomics further, I joined Dr. Nicholas Luscombes lab at the EMBL-European Bioinformatics Institute as a visiting academic, funded by the Inlaks Foundation. This allowed me to initiate research into gene regulation and adaptation in bacteria on a genomic scale. I built on this one year of investigating transcriptional regulation in bacteria through a PhD in the same group, facilitated by the University of Cambridge (A computational study of bacterial gene regulation and adaptation on a genomic scale, thesis
submitted to the University of Cambridge, June 2009). I continued as a bridging postdoc with the same lab, and a research fellowship at Girton College (University of Cambridge), till October 2010.
I then returned home to India and am now a junior group leader (officially 'Young Investigator') at the National Centre for Biological Sciences in Bangalore. -
