My husband has a hair salon in Heidelberg so I am regularly in Heidelberg and occasionallz pop up to EMBL to say "hi". -

I came to Germany in 1985 where I worked in Cell Biology at the DKFZ in Werner Franke's lab, taught English for Scientists at the Volkshochshule, DKFZ and Zentrales Sprachlabor of the University of Heidelberg. I was assistant to Frank Gannon, EMBO Director, before coming to Dresden. I worked as a doctor in the Dresden UNiversity Clinic Department of Internal Medicine from 2006-9. Since 2009 I have been managing the SyBoSS EU project Systems Biology of Stem Cells. I am preparing my doctoral thesis on the immunohistological characterisation of mouse embryonic stem cells in collaboration with Francis Stewart.
