The interaction of proteins with lipids and allosteric regulation of protein function in the context of lipid and/or membrane binding is a crucial part of intracellular biochemistry and signalling. This meeting focuses on structural aspects of this interaction as well as on functional implications. We hope to discuss how translocation events and conformational changes may be used as tools to monitor signalling events. A short and focussed meeting is scheduled in Heidelberg on the 14th and 15th May. To warrant a high degree of intimate discussion the meeting is limited to 12 high ranking speakers in the field and a restricted number of participants.
