  EMBL Events Sneak Preview 2011

Are you curious about what will be going on next year at the EMBL Advanced Training Centre? Be the first to see the 2011 preliminary EMBL Courses and Conferences Programme. [more...]

Register now for Bridging the Gap in Biomedical Genetics Conference, 27 - 29 October 2010

The main goal of the Bridging the Gap in Biomedical Genetics Conference is to discuss the implications of the advances in genomics on healthcare and medicine, and, concretely, to explore avenues for closer integration of bioinformatics and medical informatics. How can we ensure that health care benefits from the advances in genomics, without unnecessary delays, and that biomedical research benefits fully from clinical information routinely collected in hospitals?

It will take place on 27 – 29 October 2010 at the Wellcome Trust Genome Campus, Hinxton, Cambridge, UK. The abstract deadline: 15 September 2010 and the registration deadline: 8 October 2010. [more]

Looking Back, Looking Forward: Vision 2020

Following the highly successful launch of the EMBL Vision 2020 Lecture Series in April this year with an inaugural lecture by Prof. David Baltimore, the EMBL Advanced Training Centre has hosted two more Nobel laureates in this unique series of forward-looking scientific lectures. [more...]

Last Chance to Register for EMBO Conference Series
From Functional Genomics to Systems Biology, 13 - 16 Nov 2010

The meeting will cover all aspects of functional genomic approaches to systems biology, going from the genome to phenotype. These include transcriptional networks, protein interaction networks, functional interaction networks (synthetic lethal screens, genetics, RNAi), synthetic biology, multi-dimensional data integration and qualitative and quantitative modelling. Extended Registration Deadline 31 August 2010

There are a limited number of fellowships available.

Register NOW for the EMBL-EBI Open Day
The EMBL-EBI’s Open Day, will take place 2 November 2010 at the EMBL-EBI. This is the perfect opportunity for young scientists who are considering a career in bioinformatics to find out more about opportunities at Europe's main centre for bioinformatics. You will learn about cutting-edge research projects, get an overview of one of the world's most important collections of biological databases and tools, and be given time to talk one-to-one with the experts who develop and curate these services. Registration is FREE, but places are limited to 40 so please register now to avoid disappointment. Registration closes 4 October 2010. [Website]
