Filter

Description:

The Filter module allows the filtering of input images with equal dimensions to be low- and/or high-pass filtered in the Fourier space. Four parameters need to be specified. They refer to actual pixels contained in the image. E.g. if fLP is set at 128, when the image dimensions are 256 pixels, than the filtering happens at the Nyquist frequency.

The module is only available in the Linux version.

Ports:

Low-pass: fLP, sigma LP

Sigma_LPin this number field is the variance for smoothing out the low pass filter and to reduce the Überschwinger. The smoothing starts at fLP-sigma_LP.

High-pass: fHP, sigma HP

Sigma_HPin this number field is the variance for smoothing out the high pass filter and to reduce the Überschwinger. The smoothing starts at fHP-sigma_HP.
