Bus no. 39
Bus no. 39 goes from Heidelberg city centre (Bismarckplatz) to the Königsstuhl.
Ideal connection:
Departure Bismarckplatz 18.55, arrival Bierhelder Hof 19.11, arrival Kernphysikalisches Institut 19.12
Bus stop "Bierhelder Hof" (about 20 minutes' walk)
From the bus stop "Bierhelder Hof" go back along the street the bus came on. Turn left into Bierhelderhofweg and walk along the street until you see the restaurant Bierhelder Hof on the right hand side. After about 200 metres, turn left into Meyerhofstraße. Turn left in front of the EMBO building. The entrance to the Operon Auditorium is located on the right hand side after about 50 metres at the crosswalk.
Bus stop "Kernphysikalisches Institut" (about 10 minutes' walk)
The gate to the Max-Planck-Institute is located directly in front of the bus stop and will be open for the concert. Pass it and follow the signs to EMBL. After passing the gate to EMBL, walk down Meyerhofstraße and follow the signs to the Operon Auditorium. The entrance is located on the left hand side, at the crosswalk.
Bus no. 29 (about 15 minutes' walk)
Bus no. 29 goes from Heidelberg city centre to Boxberg via Rohrbach.
Get off at the bus stop "Boxbergring" and continue in the same direction, leaving Boxberg. In the sharp left bend after Boxberg, the path through the woods to EMBL starts. On the EMBL premises, turn left in front of the EMBO building. The entrance to the Operon Auditorium is located on the right hand side after about 50 metres at the crosswalk.

By car - free car park available
From Heidelberg city centre via Rohrbacher Straße
Turn left into Steigerweg at Alois-Link-Platz and drive up the winding road. After the restaurant Bierhelder Hof, turn left into Meyerhofstraße. Park your car in the parking lot on the left hand side and walk up the street. Turn left at the EMBO building. The entrance to the Operon Auditorium is located on the right hand side after about 50 metres at the crosswalk.
From motorway A5 / B3 / Leimen
Follow the signs to Boxberg / Emmertsgrund. Turn left into Boxberg at the Aral petrol station. Go through Boxberg along Boxbergring. After Boxberg, the road makes a sharp left bend and goes up, after which there is a right turn into Meyerhofstraße. Park your car in the parking lot on the left hand side and walk up the street. Turn left at the EMBO building. The entrance to the Operon Auditorium is located on the right hand side at the crosswalk after about 50 metres.
