Isothermal Titration Calometry
Isothermal Titration Calorimetry (ITC) is a thermodynamic technique for monitoring any chemical interaction initiated by the addition of a binding component.
When molecules interact, the most chemical reaction is accompanied by either evolution or absorption of heat. Measurement of this heat allows accurate determination of binding constants, reaction stoichiometry, enthalpy and entropy, providing a complete thermodynamic description of the molecular interaction in a single experiment. ITC technology does not require modification of the reactants.
