The EMBL Advanced Training Centre (ATC), the new, DNA-shaped double helical conference venue in the heart of Europe, is setting the scene for a new era of scientific conferences at EMBL. Promoting advanced training and education for scientists from all over the world, the ATC hosts state-of-the-art training facilities for practical courses and computer labs together with a 450 seat auditorium. Integrated witin the EMBL Heidelberg campus, it also features a new canteen, serving the catering needs of the upcoming conference and training events.
In addition to the ATC, EMBL continues to operate its conference facilities in the main building, including seminar rooms of various sizes and the 300 seat Operon auditorium. However, these facilities are generally used for internal purposes, and may only be used exceptionally to cater specific needs of event organisers.
