The Louis- Jeantet Foundation aims at encouraging pioneering programmes. Over the past 10 years the Louis-Jeantet Fellowship Programme has helped foster outstanding young scientists from Eastern European countries, by giving them the opportunity to join the EMBL International PhD Programme. After review the Louis-Jeantet Foundation together with EMBL took the decision to end the fellowship programme as the overall situation and possibilities for Eastern European applicants has over this time period evolved so positively that further specific support was deemed no longer necessary.

 

We wish to thank the Louis-Jeantet Foundation for the excellent support and help offered during the time of the programme and are delighted about  the legacy of many excellent Jeantet fellows.
