Accommodation

Accommodation can be booked via the EMBL Course & Conference office for this conference.

How can I book accommodation for the conference?

At the time of registering for the conference you can now select accommodation with one of our partner hotels. The rooms are subject to availability and your booking will be confirmed once payment has been received.

The deadline for booking accommodation is 21 March 2011

Which hotels can I book?

What type of room can I book?

Single room - a room with a single bed for 1 person only
Superior single room - a larger single room or a double room used as a single
Double room - a room with double bed ideally for a couple
Twin room - a room with 2 single beds for 2 persons
Half of twin room - the use of a single bed in a twin room (shared with another participant)

Can I make changes to my accommodation booking?

After making a registration, you can always log back into your registration account and book accommodation or make amendments up until the accommodation booking deadline.

Can I book additional nights?

Accommodation has been blocked from 4-9 May 2011. If you have any special requests regarding accommodation e.g. an additional night stay please contact the responsible conference officer before the booking deadline. (details left left side menu ‘Contact’)

Is there a cancellation policy?

If cancellation occurs after the hotel booking deadline -21 March 2011, the cancellation fee is 100% of the hotel booking fee.

If cancellation occurs before the hotel booking deadline -21 March 2011, a cancellation fee of EUR 50 will be charged.

Local Transport

Conference Shuttle Bus Timetable (free of charge for conference participants)

Shuttle buses will go from designated bus stops near the hotels to EMBL and back, mornings and evenings. The bus schedule will be available before the meeting.

* Bismarckplatz - is the main bus and tramway stop in Heidelberg city centre.
Please note this bus does not run at the weekend or public holidays. The fare is 2.20 EUR to be paid directly to the driver.

Conference Venue
