Career Day

Career Day

Organised by EICAT (PhD and Postdoctoral Programmes) together with EMBLEM, Career Day provides an overview of alternative, non-academic career possibilities for scientists from all EMBL sites and the local scientific community.

Career Day 2013 will take place on Thursday, 13 June 2013 in the EMBL Advanced Training Centre.

The Career Day features a programme of speakers from a broad spectrum of disciplines, covering research in industry, publishing, patents and consulting. The speakers will talk about their career choices, and explain how they made the leap into another field as well as give a personal insight into their day-to-day working life. In addition to the talks, small group sessions over lunch will allow interested attendees to discuss further details directly with the speakers.
