Postdoctoral ProgrammeEMBL Interdisciplinary Postdocs (EIPOD)
Application 2009
EIPOD Application 2009
EIPODs are funded for up to 3 years by EMBL and a Marie-Curie Action Cofund grant from the EU, and their interdisciplinary projects are supported by at least two labs, preferably located in different Units. Each project will have one scientific supervisor (Coordinator), who will officially host the EIPOD, but all projects will involve extensive collaboration with the partner labs (Partners).
Applicants are invited to design and propose an interdisciplinary project of their choice according to scientific interest. Self-designed interdisciplinary projects need to be pre-discussed with the prospective EMBL scientists (at least one Coordinator and one Partner) before submission. A list and descriptions of pre-defined projects are available here.
Alternatively, or in addition to self-defind projects, applicants may apply for up to two of the below list of pre-defined projects.
Applicants are advised to register for the online application early on, as letters for reference need to be requested through the online application system, independently of the final submission of the application. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that the referees do submit the recommendations online before the application deadline. We strongly suggest that you complete the 'general info' and 'references' part of the online application first in order to give your referees enough time to complete the reference online. As stated within the online application form we only accept references provided through institutional email accounts.
The online application is available here. Deadline :31 October 2009 - 17h CET.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO APPLICANTS:
The EMBL does not charge a fee at any stage of the recruitment process (application, interview meeting, processing, training or any other fees). The EMBL does not concern itself with information on bank accounts.
