Postdoctoral Programme

The diversity of biological research being conducted at EMBL provides opportunities to pursue interdisciplinary research and to acquire a broad perspective on biological problems and the technological approaches that can be used to address them.

Most postdoctoral fellows enter EMBL with external funding in the form of individual postdoctoral fellowships. To find out more about funding possibilities, visit the fellowships pages. A few postdoctoral fellowships may be offered as specified positions on the EMBL jobs pages.

In 2007 EMBL started its own fellowship programme, the EMBL Interdisciplinary Postdocs (EIPOD) to fund interdisciplinary research between any two labs at the five EMBL sites.  More information
