I suffer too with MicrosoftWord...

I am suffering with MicrosoftWord

I want to cry here.

Be careful when you 'Save as...' your text. Close, VERY CLOSE, to the 'Word' option is the 'document template' option. If by mistake you save it as such 'document template' then you are not allowed to save it as anything else. No 'rtf', no 'text only', no nothing. Copies of the text keep being 'document template'. No escape.

But, don't worry! There is a clever help from the program (I quote):

When saving my work, I can't change the file type from "Document Template"
to "Word Document."

You may have inadvertently opened or created a template file. You cannot
change the file type of a template. To save your work as a Word document
instead of a template, save the template, and then create a new document:
On the File menu, click New, and then click the template you want to base
the new document on. Under Create New, click Document, and then click OK.
Copy all of your work from the template to the new document. Save the new
document, making sure that you click Word Document (*.doc) in the Save as
type box.
Well... I think that's what we call a bug.

Do you suffer also with Microsoft?
Send me your complaints (Subject of the e-mail: I suffer too with MicroSoft). We could contact Amnesty International or at least an Animal Rights Protection Association about that.

The first complains are arriving!
We are more and more!
