Spatial Control of Microtubule Dynamics in Spindle Assembly by Chromatin

Simulated chromosomal gradient with aster aster at distance (d)

A mitotic aster in a gradient. Each line represents a microtubule. Blue tips indicate shrinking microtubules, white tips growing.

  1. The results [plots]. The evaluation of the simulation is done using the asymmetry ratio where MAX(Lto) and MAX(Law) are the lengths of the longest microtubules towards chromatin and away from it. This geometry is determined by the angles 0:180 and 180:360 degrees around the centrosome.
