Note:You should convert all your sequence files from 'mac' to 'unix' format. The difference is in the way the new lines are represented. You can
/usr/bin/tr '\015' '\n' < myseq.mac > myseq.macX WARNING Do not use the same name for input and output file. You will loose your input file!
Clustal qt is available from Des Higgins qt Clustal web site.

This one is compiled on my ibook with Mac OS X Version 10.2.1. (GCC version 1151, based on gcc version 3.1, prerelease ) The good news is that you do not need lesstif/motif libraries! You should have Stuffit Expander to unstuff the archive. I could not make a tar archive since the tar is unable to archive the 'resource fork' :-(. The Stuffit Expander should create a clustalx1.82 folder on your Desktop (folder). Locate the clustalx1.82 folder, open it and click on the clustalx icon! |
OR Open a terminal window, cd to /Users/blabla/Desktop/clustalx1.82/clustalx.app/Contents/MacOs/ ./clustalx Should pop-up the familiar. Now download clustalx1.82.darwin.hqx |
