Location and Directions

Arrival to the Island of Porquerolles on Saturday October 15th

The Island of Porquerolles can be only accessed by boat departing from the ferry terminal “La Tour Fondue” (Chemin du Bouvet, 83400 Hyères). Daily ferry connections to the Porquerolles Island are ensured by the company TLV from 9am to 6pm; tickets can be bought on-site (see details below). For any crossing outside this schedule, there is a 24h/day taxi-boat service, but it is much more expensive. It is therefore highly recommended to arrive at the ferry terminal before 6pm on Saturday October 15th. The course will start with welcome drinks at 6.30pm (see program) at the hotel Igesa, which is 400m by foot from the pier (see directions).

Since the arrival of each participant cannot be coordinated, no shuttle will be organized from airports of railway stations to the ferry terminal. Each participant may use one of the following options to reach the ferry terminal:

By plane

- From Toulon-Hyères airport (TLN): domestic flights from Paris Orly (ORY) only and international airlines from London, Brussels & Rotterdam (www.toulon-hyeres.aeroport.fr). From TLN airport, you can take a taxi to La Tour Fondue (~15min, see approximative price below), or alternatively take the bus line 63 until Arromanches and then the bus line 67 to La Tour Fondue (details on buses on www.reseaumistral.com/).

- From Marseille airport (MRS): domestic and international flights (www.mrsairport.com), transfers possible to Marseille St Charles railway station. From MRS airport, you can take a taxi from the airport (~1h35, see approximative price below), or alternatively take a train to Hyères railway station and follow the itinerary below.
