Within the MMPU, different fellowship opportunities exist at the PhD-student and postdoctoral (MD and PhD) level. These fellowships are awarded on a competitive basis to highly qualified and motivated applicants.
2013 - 2018: HRCMM Fellowships
The Heidelberg Research Centre for Molecular Medicine (HRCMM) is a brand new initiative founded during Excellence Initiative II of the Heidelberg University and funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation) DFG.
The HRCMM offers three different fellowships for MD students or MDs.

Becoming a predoc at the MMPU
If you are interested in becoming a predoc in one of the MMPU’s eight groups you are invited to visit the individual MMPU Research Groups’ websites and to get in touch with the MMPU group leader of interest.
Predoctoral applicants state their interest in MMPU research and apply via the EMBL International PhD Programme (EIPP), via the MD/PhD Programme of the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Biosciences or via the Hartmut Hoffmann-Berling International Graduate School of Molecular and Cellular Biology (HBIGS).

If you are interested in becoming a postdoc in one of the MMPU’s eight groups you are invited to visit the individual MMPU Research Groups’ websites to read about their corresponding research topics. Contact details of all Group leaders are available here .
MD applicants are particularly encouraged to apply.
