Cell Biology Module

This module will give an introduction into the functional organisation of the unit of life, which is the living cell. We will focus on the principles governing spatial organisation and temporal development of the organisation of functional modules inside eukaryotic cells.

We will give an overview over the methods that are currently used to address the most pressing questions of life on the level of cells. We will explain why these methods are required in order to achieve a quantitative understanding of the complex behaviour of cells going beyond classical qualitative approaches.
