EMBL Courses and Conferences during the Coronavirus pandemic
With the onsite programme paused, many of our events are now being offered in virtual formats.
Registration is open as usual for many events, with back-up plans in place to move further courses and conferences online as necessary. Registration fees for any events affected by the COVID-19 disruption are fully refundable.

YIM Meeting
Registration process:
Please register for the EMBL Partnership Conference first. Once registered, you will receive an email to submit your abstract. Please forward this email to agata.pernus@embl.de with a note stating that you are registering for the Young Investigators Meeting (YIM). The deadline for registration is 14 August.
Introduction:
The Young Investigators Meeting (YIM) will take place at EMBL Barcelona on 27–28 September 2019. The meeting will bring together PhD students and postdoctoral fellows from EMBL, CRG, the Hubrecht Institute and the Nordic EMBL Partnership Nodes: Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM), Centre for Molecular Medicine Norway (NCMM), Laboratory for Molecular Infection Medicine Sweden (MIMS) and Danish Research Institute of Translational Neuroscience (DANDRITE). The Young Investigators are invited to meet following the EMBL Partnership Conference “Perspectives in Translational Medicine”, 25-27 September 2019.
The 1.5-day programme is especially tailored to early-career researchers and aims to enhance networking and collaborations among young scientists. The event will include panel discussions with young group leaders, as well as sessions on effective time management and job opportunities in industry, academia and beyond. YIM provides an excellent opportunity to meet peers from different institutes, discuss scientific discoveries, exchange ideas and experiences, get inspired and, most importantly, to have fun.
