according to Article 12 of the EMBL Internal Policy 68 (hereinafter IP 68, equiv. to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679)

In order to manage your application to participate at the cryo-EM User Symposium II on 7 February 2020 at EMBL Heidelberg and to inform you about the upcoming meetings coordinated by the Structural and Computational Biology Unit of EMBL, we (the Structural and Computational Biology Unit) will be processing your personal data (name, email address, affiliation), you have provided us upon registration for the event. We need your data to register you for the event. Without your data, you will not be able to participate at the event.

The legal basis for processing your personal data is the contract that you are entering into with us upon your registration.  

You data will be stored with us for the period of five years, due to its relevance to yours possible IP applications and audit reports.
