EMBL Courses and Conferences during the Coronavirus pandemic
With the onsite programme paused, many of our events are now being offered in virtual formats.
Registration is open as usual for many events, with back-up plans in place to move further courses and conferences online as necessary. Registration fees for any events affected by the COVID-19 disruption are fully refundable.
More information for participants of events at EMBL Heidelberg can be found here.
Room: Klaus Tschira Auditorium
The Trainee Symposium is a forum for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to give an oral presentation of their work to an audience consisting mainly of their peers. Speakers are chosen from trainee abstracts not selected for an oral presentation in the main meeting. Members of the IMGS Secretariat and conference Organizing Committee judge the presentations and select 3-5 speakers to receive the Lorraine Flaherty Award. Awardees will give their talks during a session in the main meeting and be eligible for additional prizes. The Symposium is open to all registered conference participants, but trainees are especially encouraged to attend.
Only trainees registered for the conference can attend the workshops and symposium. Participation is on a first come first served basis. A registration link will be sent out in an email one month before the conference starts.
