Conference Overview
This conference addresses the promises and challenges of precision health, the molecular insights necessary to enable a maintenance of wellness and prevention of disease and the new technologies needed to apply those insights in the clinic. There has been a leap in our molecular understanding of disease and disease risk, yet our application of these insights to disease prevention and monitoring is still rudimentary. This conference will assemble leading basic and clinical researchers to share and discuss the latest systems-wide data in different areas and is the continuation of the highly successful EMBL-Stanford Personalised Health series that offers an unusually rich opportunity to hear from, and interact with, leaders in the field on the efforts towards molecular approaches to personalised health.
Session Topics
- Molecular basis of health and disease
- Big data and genotype to disease predictions
- Clinical, ethical and societal issues
- Precision medicine in practice
