The programme will be written using Central European Time (CET) or Central Europen Summer Time (CEST), unless otherwise stated. As many virtual participants are attending from around the world, we will do our best to accomodate as many timezones as possible when creating the schedules. Please take your time zone into consideration when planning your attendance.

Virtual Event Platforms

Slack: This platform will be used to collaborate, communicate and network with all of the attendees of this event. All participants will recieve an email invitation shortly before the conference.
EMBL Media Site: Access to all live and pre-recorded talks will be through this platform. An individualised login and link will be sent shortly before the conference. Additionally, all the talks will be saved here for 1 week after the meeting starts.
iPosterSessions: The digital posters will be held on a webbased platform from iPosterSessions. The company will contact you with your login information and instructions on how to create your poster. The platform offers different templates to choose from, with the ability to upload images and videos to make your digital poster presentation more engaging. There will be a poster session Q&A during the sessino in Slack. More information on creating a digital poster can be found here. (Link to blog post)

How to ask questions

Questions during and after the talks can be asked in the EMBL Media Site, which is where all the talks will be streamed. The chair will share the questions with the speaker. If time runs out or you think of a question later, you can use Slack to ask your questions in the dedicated Meet the Speaker channel or via direct message.

It is important to stay healthy and move around, espcecially when you are attending an event virtually. We have put together a few coffee break stretches and yoga videos for you to enjoy during the event.
