EMBL Courses and Conferences during the Coronavirus pandemic

With the onsite programme paused, many of our events are now being offered in virtual formats.


Registration is open as usual for many events, with back-up plans in place to move further courses and conferences online as necessary. Registration fees for any events affected by the COVID-19 disruption are fully refundable.

  • The virtual course will start on Monday 14 June with an onboarding session and access to the pre-recorded talks from invited speakers and trainers. The course will continue on Monday 28 June with the regular programme.
  • The virtual course will include interactive discussion sessions, online practicals, hands on exercises and virtual networking.
  • Participants will be required to view the pre-recorded talks prior to the main start of the course on Monday 28 June. During the five-day course duration, full-time attendance is required.  On most days, this is between 08:45 – 17:00 CEST each day.

The following time is used in the programme below:

  • Central European Summer Time (CEST): eg. Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris
